My Word for 2019 .....
5:00 AM
Do you choose a “Word of the Year”?
With SO many great words to pick from, it can be tough to narrow down the selection.
In 2006 One Little Word was created by Ali Edwards. She began a tradition of choosing one word for herself each January—a word to focus on, to live with, to investigate, to write about, to craft with, and to reflect upon as she goes about her daily life.
See more about One Little Word HERE.
Then she shared this with her fans and the crafting community and it's taken off.
This year I have chosen the word MONUMENTAL.
Why??? Because 2019 will be a VERY monumental year for me and my family with all of the things planned. Big Birthdays, Big Anniversaries, Kids Graduating High School, Kids going of to College, and Big NEW Adventures. Thus MONUMENTAL seemed to fit for me.
Do you have a word???
I would love to have you share if you do.
Happy 2019!!!

Poinsettia Christmas ...
9:00 PM
I recently have been seeing a lot of black and white images
with a focal image colored in color.
I thought I'd give it a try with this card.
I colored this poinsettia with my Peerless Watercolors.
It's been a while since I broke those out ... I miss them!!!
I also tested out a new water brush that I love SOOOO much ... its by Nuvo.
It controls the water flow soooo well. Not to much, not too little ... just right!
I used the Christmas Sprig ATS from Fun Stampers Journey for this card.
It's a nice and inexpensive stamp if you are looking for a poinsettia.

Glimmer Glimmer Glimmer .... SHINE ON!!!
5:00 AM
The one thing that I was MOST excited about with the FSJ and Spellbinders merger
was the GLIMMER MACHINE!!!!
What is a Glimmer Machine you ask???
Let Me Tell You:
You can now add stunning and eye catching foil features to any card or mixed media project. This exciting new system was designed to be used with your Platinum or Platinum 6 Die cutting & Embossing machine, and is also compatible with many other die cutting machines (including the Big Shot, Vagabond, Revolution, and Amaze)
The Glimmer Hot Foil System is easy to use. Just heat the platform & chosen plate, create your foiling sandwich, and then run the platform through your die cutting machine. Foiled Elements can be added to various materials, such as cardstock, fabric, ribbon, leather, and more. You can even create foiled designs using some of your existing metal dies.
This was foiling using Holographic Foil on cardstock.
This was foiling using Foil on cotton fabric.
This was foiling using Foil on ribbon.
I went LIVE just the other night on Facebook and showed how to use it.
Want to See???
What are you going to GLIMMER????
I swear this is addicting!!!
I wanna see what you come up with!!!!
