Oh Nuts!

Nuts about You

I made this card for a contest over on Beth Norman's blog - Sunflowers and Dragonflies. We were supposed to create a card using her sketch.

These stamps are adorable and are from TAC's Stamp of the Month for August called So Squirrely. I stamped all of the images and senitments on a kraft cardstock, matting that on brown. I colored all of the images with my Copics. For the acorns in the bottom right, I cut those out and pop dotted them. I thought that the patterned paper that I used looked a lot like wood grain and went just perfectly on this project.

For more information on the August stamp of the month see below.

Another Thank You

Thank Ewe!

Here is another Thank You that I made for co-worker.

This one utilizes the Hoppity Skippity set from the magalogue. I stamped the ewe and then masked him while drawing in a black line for the ground/sky separator. I then sponged the blue sky, green grass, and yellow sun. The sentiment is from the same set and was stamped in black. I then added 3 black rhinestones to the bottom. To finish it off I applied glue to the ewe and fun flocked him in white. Then it was matted on black.

This was one of my co-workers favorites only because she thought it was so neat that he was fuzzy. Isn't it fun to make the easiest card for someone and have them love it sooo much!

Still have a few more "Thank Yous" .... Stay Tuned!

Thank Yous

Thanks so much!

I recently made 12 thank you cards for a co-worker of mine. I made 6 sets of 2. This was one of the sets.

It uses the flowers from the Spring Flowers stamp set. They are colored with copics. The sentiment is from the new level C hostess set and then a stamped a pair of leaves on there with them. I used a nice floral paper by American Crafts and added some Grosgrain ribbon tags/flags. I matted the whole card with a matching green cardstock. I rounded the ends of the white strip with corner rounders.

More thank yous to come .... my co-worker loved them and I hope you do as well.

Time for a Parade

Don't you love taking images and conforming them to the holiday by coloring them in the color for that holiday???

This stamp is from the BRAND NEW set from the Angel Company called Hear the Angels. It was just released last week! I got a sneak peek at this set at Seminar and they allowed us to stamp some images.

I colored her in red and blue with my copics for the 4th of July! She looks like she is ready for a parade! The sentiment is made up of 3 other stamp sets. Don't you love combining your stamps to make a masterpiece!!!

The images were matted on red and then placed on a blue cardstock base. I then added a touch of red with another strip on the bottom.

Next on the hop is (Nicky Bookout: http://hookedonstamps.blogspot.com/) be sure to stop by for a visit.
Enjoy and Happy 4th!
