Paper Crafting Kentucky Derby Style ....

Today is the Kentucky Derby ... and who knew that event and papercrafting could go so hand in hand!

A few of my co-workers were involved in a huge gala last night here in Rockford.
The proceeds of this event went to help a cancer resource center.
What a great cause ... and with all those that I know that have recently been touched by cancer .. I was in!

They wanted me to create these rosette displays that would serve as markers for desserts that various individuals and companies made to auction off at the event.

There were 20 desserts so thus I had to make 20 of these stands.

I used 2 stamp sets on these - First in My Book and All For Love

I had embossed the gold cup on there and a die cut number was placed on each ... 1 to 20

Here are pictures of the event and my stands in action .....

Gorgeous set up ....

Thanks to Sean for taking these pics for me at the event and thanks for his pursuit of making me take on this assignment  :)   It was really fun!

ENJOY!!!
