You Can't Find a Card for this Topic in Hallmark!

I love making cards ... and what could be better than personalizing the card for the recipient.
A friend of mine at work has done a wonderful thing! She was determined to be a bone marrow match to a complete stranger. She was a perfect match and by her donating bone marrow was going to save this 23-year old's life. She jumped at the chance .... and in return our work place gave her paid time off.
Everyone wanted to pass around a card for her and make it special ... so they came to me to design something for her.
This is what I came up with:

I call this - Life Saver in the Sea of Bone Marrow!

I took the life saver as clipart from my computer. It fits perfect in this Nestability don't you think??? I typed the sentiment on my computer and added it. The bones are from an old TAC set and I gave them dimension with my Copics. Then I stamped "Marrow" with Simple Bet and embossed it. I added ribbon and pop-dotted the sentiment.

You just can't find this type of card in Hallmark!!

We are going to give it to her with a Cookie bouquet of "bone" cookies.

She is my hero!

January TAC Blog Hop

Hello Valentine

Thanks for stopping by the TAC blog hop. This blog hop is sponsored by Paperwings an on-line community of TAC demonstrators

For my project I used a new hostess set called "Hello For All Seasons". This set can be yours for FREE if you host a party totaling $250 or more.

I love all of the options that you have with this set. I used the heart for my background. I stamped them all over and then colored them with my Copic markers (RR29 &R59) I then stamped "hello" on a separate piece of white cardstock. I colored that as well. I added "Valentine" from a GWP set from last year.

I made this quite a dimensional card by pop-dotting the hello title block and then also pop-dotting the heart in the middle of the "o". I matted everything on black (I love the red, white, and black color combo). I added a few black gems and viola!!

Here is a side view.

Can you feel the EXCITEMENT!!!! The new Serendipity catalog goes live TOMORROW - January 25th!!! 1 week early!

With Sympathy
I'm not very good with sympathy cards or what to write in the sympathy card. So I decided to make a simple card with Watercolor Plants from TAC. I cut it out with a Nestability and also cut one out with the new nestability frame set. All of the edges were sponged with Lavender Sachet ink. I added the sentiment from the new Savvy Sayings set. I added a line of scoring with my ScorBug. I finished it off with gems and ribbon.

Get Well

Here is another get well card that could be used for a male (or a female). Used the new Nestability stamp set with my nestabilities and the new sentiment set Savvy Sayings. I aged the nestability by inking the edges with brown ink and then pop-dotted the sentiment. I tied twine at the bottom of the card and also inked that with brown ink to age it. Added a few gems and viola!

These cuties are so cute!!!

Excuse me while I TOOT my Horn ....

I can not believe it .... I am a Cover Girl AGAIN!!!
This time they were asking for Shaker Cards ...
I made 2 and one got picked for the cover
but both of them made it in the magazine!

Mine is that one with the red hots in it on the right ... Stamps are from TAC Skinny Birds and Inky Antics (sentiment). The heart was a Sizzix die and then I used foam to trap the red hots and elevate the top.

Here it is on page 22 in the magazine

Here is my other card on page 20 of the magazine. For this one I used my favorite Mabelle set from TAC Little Cupcake. I cut the frosting out of the cupcake and used a transparency behind it. Then I added little sprinkles in the shaker that I made out of foam again. I LOVE the sentiment that goes with this card from the Fairy Birthday set (also by Mabelle) for TAC.

Thanks so much for letting me share this BIG news with you and letting me toot my horn!
Simply Delight

Sponging Technique

This card is made using a new trick/technique that I just learned from TAC. This card uses the Wonder and Joy set. I stamped her through a circle that I punched in a post-it note. Then I colored her and then sponged the edges with a light pink ink. Then I punched that finished piece with a slightly larger scallop punch ... thus creating the white edge. Brilliant!!!

I added black gems and pink ribbon to tie the whole card together.

Here are some of the pictures from the Angel Company depicting this technique:

Hope that your day is Delightful!

Sweet Little One
Sweet Bear
This teddy bear is from the new Serendipity catalog and the set is called Bountiful Bears. I colored him with Copics. The sentiment is from English Everyday Cuties. I used gingham patterned paper and blue mats. I added 3 white buttons with a strand of the blue cardstock threaded through the holes.
Hope you have a BEAR-y good day!

Bee-Cuze

All about the Bees

I made this card using the Level A Hostess Set again (Swirled Spring Life). I stamped them and colored the bodies with yellow copics. I then paper pieced them with vellum wings. The sentiment is from a Wittle Bug. I added black gems to the corners and matted on yellow and black.

This is the side view showing the 3D effect of the vellum wings.

Hope you have a BEE-utiful day!

Glorious

I created this card with the new Level A hostess set called Swirled Spring Life. You can receive this set for free with an order or party totaling $100. I pop-dotted the body of the hummingbird for a 3D effect and stamped his wings on vellum. I colored the card with my copics and added gem stones to each flower that I also colored with my copics. This is a wonderful and easy card to put together.

Gather your friends together now so that you can order this fun set!!!

Another new Mabelle Set

Praying for Ewe

I love Mabelle's little sheep. And the best part of her sheep is that it is sooo lovely to flock them. You can kind of tell he is fuzzy in this photo. I used white fun flock on him. The rest of him is colored with Copics and then the sky and grass are sponged on with Palette ink. The sun was punched out and edged with black ink. The sentiment is also from the new Mabelle set and was stamped in black.

Button Button who has a Button

Beep Beep

I made these little cuties for an ATC swap. You were supposed to use a button. I think that I accomplished that task.

This uses one of the new sets by Mabelle. I colored him with Copics and then added a flower and the buttons. "Beep Beep" was from a retired set.

ENJOY!!!

Hogs and Kisses

Here Piggy Piggy ....

If you know me, you know me that some of my favorite stamps are pigs and dragonflies. I am a sucker for a cute pig stamp. So of course I had to get the TAC Vintage Set of the Month this month called Hogs and Kisses.

Here is may little rendition of this cutie. I used the hearts from the set to make the background paper. I stamped the pig three times and pop-dotted her head and snout and then colored the whole thing with my Copics. The wings were stamped on Vellum. Then I pieced the whole thing together.

The frame is a Nestability and the sentiments and hearts are accented with a little bling from my Stardust Gelly pen.

If you like this set be sure to contact me soon to place an order .... it's just $9.75 with a $30 order ... because like Disney this set is only available for a limited time and then it goes back in the TAC vault!!!

Nestabilities

Thinking of You

I am sooo excited that TAC is starting to carry Nestabilities!!! The frame above was made using the new set from TAC. The sentiment is also from one of the new sets.

I made the background with my scorepal and scorebug. I scored it in diagonals to create the argyle pattern. I added ribbon and gems and viola.

I made this card for my boss ... he is having a real rough time dealing with Cancer. He has had radiation and now he's doing chemo. It's really taking a tole on him and he is not expected back to work until at least April 1st. I really like my boss and this is tough time for me too in this interim period. I just hope he beats this and gets better soon!

I am not sure that the above card is manly ... I tried ... I have such a hard time with that. I know he'll appreciate it though ... he really likes my cards.
