I arrived in Minnesota and went to an Amuse Halloween class at Smudges. In this class we made 5 cards. The class was taught by Lyndsay Neumann who is a certified Amuse instructor
"Have a Spooky Night"
For this card we made a little scene with a picket fence, raven, and pumpkin. We stamped a yellow moon in the corner and then added glitter to it.
"Got Candy?"
We colored this little girl with with copics and added bling buttons to her dress.
"Come over for a Spell"
This was my favorite ... lots of details. Stamped Sabrina the witch and colored her with copics. Stamped the toad and added mini mini googlie eyes to him and a little bling to the end of his hat. Stamped a spider web and then used a fine glue pen and black glitter to add more bling to this card.
"Have a BOO-tiful day!"
Outlined the ghost with copic marker. Added glue to the ghost and then glittered him up. Ghost is pop-dotted on the card.
"What's new pussycat?"
Colored this trick-or-treater with copics and then added glitter to her ears.
This was such a fun way to kick off the entire Scrapfest weekend!!! I really enjoyed this class and the cards that I made.
This was a swap over on the Stamp Shack that was hosted by my friend Angie (Shuggy). We each were given a month and had to design a Altered Rolodex Card for that month.
Here was mine:
If you'd like to see all of them (and they are AWESOME) head over to Angie's blog ---> HERE
I know it's only Labor Day and I should not bring up things yet like snow. But my friend Angie sent me these images a year or two ago and I just had the best time coloring them and coming up with this idea.
Here is the image made by Tara Reed. The image is a little long for a standard card so I colored it and cut it apart. I colored the noses and scarfs with new Bic Mark-it markers. They are great permanent markers that come in bright and vibrant colors.
After I cut out just the heads, I found this great "snow" paper from Frances Meyer. I matted it on white. I then found my 1" circle punch and punched white circles and edged them with black ink. Adhered everything and "viola" ... cute cute snowman ATCs ... they are a little "plain" from what I normally do ... but I absolutely LOVE them.
So go ahead don't be scared .. pulled out those Christmas and Snow stamps!!!
Refreshing Drink ATC
I made this ATC with the Udder Birthday TAC set. The Glass of Lemonade and word are from a retired TAC set. I colored the cow with colored pencils and OMS. Used the SU window punch and added an eyelet.
Whoo's Looking at You???
Made this with the Gina K owl set. Punched a yellow circle (moon) and colored with colored pencils and OMS. Used a white gel pen to "dot" the outside.
Transparent ATC
The base of this ATC and the butterfly are made with a transparency. The butterfly was stamped with TAC's new set called Butterfly Bits using baby blue Stazon ink. I added a phototurn with a brad for the body/head. The antennae were made with wire wrapped around the brad. I found this quote on the internet at Quote Garden and thought it was a perfect fit.
Here is Stewie Bowser.
He is an 8 week old Brittany Spaniel.
We got him from Dogwood Brittanys in Tullahoma, TN.
He is a super sweet dog.

Here he is with Chase.
Playing with new toys in the new home.
Sunflower ATC
What is it about sunflowers that makes us happy? Maybe it's the warm glow of them. I used a new stamp from Great Impressions on this. Colored with pencils and OMS. Used a scalloped square punch in the background and tied a ribbon around it. Sentiment is from Enjoy Today TAC set.
Plaid ATC
I used a retired TAC Plaid stripe for this ... thanks Sherri for inspiring me to pull this out. I haven't ever used it and really like how it turned out on this ATC. The cross is from a retired TAC set called Little Inspirations. I found this quote on the web and then printed it and cut all of the words apart. I love the look of this and the colors make me happy (my favorite color combo).
Passionate for Pink ATC
Pink flowers make me happy and I bought this stamp as part of a larger stamp when I was out shopping with my friend Kim last weekend. Kim makes me happy too :) - especially our play dates! The stamp is from Printworks Collection and it was on special as their stamp of the month. I only used a part of it and colored with pencils and OMS. I added snaps to the centers of the flowers. The simplicity and color of it makes me happy.
Monogram ATCs
I made these monogram ATCs for a Shackie swap. I used my Sizzix for the letters and cut the mail letter out of chipboard and covered it. stamped it with a flower background from TAC (retired GWP). Added Primas with brads and a touch of ribbon. I love the fun whimsical look.
July Flower - Larkspur
I made these for another ATC swap ... used Script Background as my background stamp. Found the picture on the internet and then added "larkspur" primas with brads and liquid pearls. I was really scared since I didn't have a larkspur stamp ... but I love the results.
Travels
I made this ATC with a stamp set from Creative Cafe and the other (luggage, world, postcard) is unknown. I colored them with pencils and OMS and pop-dotted the world. Love the vitage fell of this one!
Ruff Ruff Ruff
This cute dog stamp is by Art Gone Wild. "Ruff" is from a retired dog set at TAC. I colored the dog with pencils and OMS and then pop-dotted the head. Added the paw print ribbon and viola!! .... cute and lovely!
Number 1
This ATC was made for a numbers swap. The siver 1 was die cut on my Sizzix. Used glossy black and silver papers to dress this up. "Happy New Year" is from a retired TAC set. The January Circle is from Date Disks by TAC. Finished off the card with black and white polka dot ribbon.
Owl be Thinking of You
Here was what I came up with. I used the Owl Always Love You owl set by Gina as well as the Punchy Words sentiment set. I used Marvy Uchida punches for the inner scalloped circle and punched millions of littler circles to make the scallop on the outer edge (that took a wee bit of time). I added white dots with my white gel pen and a little ribbon and Viola! I absolutely love this card!

What talented friends that I have ... look at all of the wonderful birthday cards that they made for me!!! Thanks to all of my friends and Shackies for making my day sooo special.
Thank You!
I love blog candy ... how about you??? Look at Franmade's blog and enter for your chance to win. She's got some great great blog candy!
My Boss's Birthday Card - Front
Funny coincidence ... my boss and I went to the same high school and college ... but never knew each other (or of each other) until we started working together 5 years ago. He was 1 year ahead of me and my high school class was 900 kids and college was 40,000 students. Anyway, so when we learned of each others past, I found all of his high school yearbook pictures ... and thought - someday these will come in handy! Well today was the day! Here is his 40th birthday card with all of the yearbook pictures that I could find.
My Boss's Birthday Card - Inside
This is his work ID picture ... We had to do a project last year with all of the higher ups pictures so I had this from then. It was really hard trying to come up with a saying for the inside of the card ... didn't want to be too mean ... but I think this is ok!
I tried to keep it to the masculine side while dressing it up as much as I could.
I have a bad feeling that paybacks could be hell!!! My high school pictures are sooooo hideous!
You "Skinny Cow"
Great Job - You Skinny Cow!
I was inspired today with these creations (click here). I didn't have any popsicle sticks handy but I did have Skinny Cows in the freezer! What an excuse to eat one (only 1 WW point though!!!)
Used An Udder Birthday set and Tag Tidbits from TAC. Colored the image with my watercolor crayons and edged the image with Burnt Umber palette ink. Tied ribbon around the stick and viola ... my fudgsicle!!!
