At Seminar this year, TAC came up with 2 projects/contests that people could enter for $100 gift certificates! I just felt I had to try!
Here was the first one ... a display board:
I took the Bug of Fun set and cut out the car putting it up to EVERY set in the catalog. I then picked which were my favorites and put them in the car. I had to rely on some of my customers for the images! This was sooo much fun to make.
I won the TAC Staff's Choice for the Display Boards and $100.
Here is the cat from Spookalicious in the car. You can't really see the detail but the fenders are all popped up (3D) and the tires have black gems on them. The lines of the road are just strips of white cardstock.
Here is the snail from Hoppy Everything.
The winning board was made by Paula Kay Bourland ... it was AWESOME!
it was based on all of the tea sets in Inspiration Avenue. It included a coaster and a diecut tea pot along with cards.
We had a pajama party the next night and we were asked to decorate pillowcases for that event. Here was mine:
This was my pillowcase. I stamped it with Starfly (wings and dream) and added the quote from Just Dream (give your dreams wings). I actually stamped the fabric and sewed the entire thing together. I am not very much of a seamstress, but it turned out well.
I tied with another angel (who had a beautifully stitched one) for 1st place and won $100.
Here is a close up of the blue section.
Here is a close up of the white and purple sections.
I was so excited to win one let alone BOTH!!!!
Sorry that I had so much fun throughout the weekend that I didn't post more!!!
These are from the Banquet on Friday night...
Off to Seminar ......
Seminar Badge
I have been holding back a secret for months ... seems like EONS!!!
I have been wanting to shout this from the rooftops since I found out!!! (back in early April)
I am off to Seminar .... where tomorrow we will see the new 2010-2011 catalog LIVE and in person for the first time!!! This unveiling is going to be great ... not just because we will finally get to see all of the new stuff TAC has in store .... but I will have at least 2 of my cards in there!!!! Can you see me jumping up and down right now??? ... cause I am!!!!
Stay tuned throughout the weekend!!! I will post my cards and the images that NO ONE else but me has seen!!! I can finally do this tomorrow!!!!
I am soooo EXCITED!!!!
Part of the fun in going to Seminar is making swaps to trade with all of the other Angels. I made both card fronts and what they call "specials" ... basically anything but a card.
60 Raccoon Birthday Wishes
Raccoon Card close up
For this card I used English Everyday Cuties I colored the raccoon with copics and sponged the edges. I then used Fabulous Frames and Savvy Sayings and die cut it out with my Labels 1 Nestability. I then sponged the edges black and matted that to another black Nestability. I had a black cardstock base and added a light greenish grey cardstock to it. I added black grosgrain ribbon and black gems. I then finished it off with a flower and button (which has black scrapper's floss through it).
I really liked how they turned out!
40 Gift Card Tins
Gift Card Tin close up
I got these tins from a good friend of mine Traci! She had found them at a great deal!!! I bought 40 of them off of her thinking I could make them into great seminar swaps.
I covered the top of them with white cardstock folded in half and corner rounded. I stamped the candle from Little Cupcake and then pop-dotted it with fun foam for extra dimension. I colored the candle with my copics. I then added gold stickles to the flame and stamped a sentiment up the side and then another inside the card. I then tied a pink grosgrain ribbon around the entire container.
I was surprised how cute and easy these were and how fast they got put together!
Gift Card Tin slid open
You can easily fit a gift card into this tin .. for now I just added my contact information for the swappers.
Gift Card Tin with ribbon removed
Here is what the card looks like after you slide the ribbon off and open the top.
I can not wait to get to seminar ... I leave Thursday morning on an 8:00am flight ... I should be there about 10:00am ...
For my blog followers that are also going to Seminar ... please find me early!!! ... I should not run out of swaps, but you never know and I'd hate for you guys not to get these ... even if you don't have trades ... find me and I'll give you one!
Let it Snow
Here is the final sneak peek that I have done prior to Seminar. I used the Jingle Jolly set again with this snowman and snowflakes. I colored them with copics. pop-dotted all of the snowflakes with fun foam. I added a little bling to the center of each snowflake. I added the blue cardstock and the sentiment. I absolutely LOVE this snowman!
Enjoy ... starting tomorrow it's all about seminar and you are invited to join me for this trip virtually through my blog from the preparation to the actual event. It should be very exciting!
I loved this little watering can from the new set called Thinking Sweet Thoughts. I colored it with copics and then sponged some light blue on the background using a circle mask over the scallop circle. I added the patterned paper, sentiment, ribbon and bling.
Just a few more days until the new catty comes out and I leave for Seminar!!!
Enjoy!!! ... I've got great and exciting posts for the rest of the week planned ... and then I hope to upload from Seminar while I am there!!!
It should be a specTACular week!!!
Paper Wings is a great community site devoted to The Angel Company.
This month we are using sneak peek sets from the new 2010=2011 TAC catalog that will be debuting THIS WEEK!!!
Happy Holidays
For this card I used the new Level A Hostess set called Twinkle in the Eye. I love this little vintage girl sledding! And the best part about it ... the snowflakes in this set match the Vintage Santa set!!! So I used those two sets together! All of the snowflakes and the sentiment are from the Vintage Santa. I used Cognac Palette inks and sponged for an extra "vintagey" look.
My favorite part of this card is the layers. I have 3 total layers on the card all built up with fun foam. I layered the image itself and then also some individual snowflakes. See picture below for a side view.
ENJOY!!!
I have a very fun week planned .... and all of my blog visitors are in for some BIG treats and surprises along the way with me!!! I leave for Seminar on Thursday morning and I will be there through Saturday!!!!

Whale Miss You!
Did you miss me?? UGH ... printer problems!
I colored these little guys with my copics and then added sparkle to their water spouts with the Stardust Glitter pen.
I added the perfect patterned paper and a sparkly ribbon.
Viola ... Enjoy! ... more tomorrow!
Thanks to my BFF Kim, India was not needed to be called tonight .... it's all good now .... posting will start again tomorrow!
You might have noticed that I broke my streak of posting ... UGH!!!
You see I got this great new scanner/printer for Christmas .... I decided not to set it up until I ran out of the current ink that I had. Well that happened yesterday. So I pull the brand new printer/scanner out of the box hook it up ... it prints ... no issues ... it's wireless ... and it's very cool!!!
Well I go to scan my card and it scans but it's not then anywhere to be found on my C: drive. UGH!!! I look up troubleshooting on the HP website and it tells me that this is a common problem for my model of printer ... and they give me a patch to download ... I do that and still nothing. I reboot and still nothing. UGH!!!
Wish me luck to be back tomorrow ... I am going to have to call HP and I am guessing that I will be talking to people in India!!!
You gotta love technology, but REALLY hate it when it does not work!!!
Bright Colors
It was pretty rainy in Illinois this weekend. I thought I'd make a bright and happy card.
This card was made with the Oh Happy Day set that has a bunch of cute sayings and images. I like these porcupines/hedgehogs and from what I have heard there may be more of them in the new catty! How excitng!
I colored them with copics and matted them on Nestabilities. I added paper from Kaleidoscope Boyz and a nice bright blue ribbon.
Hope you have a nice and bright day .....
Enjoy! More tomorrow ..........
Oh No ....
Here is another image from Oh No She Didn't......
I colored her with copics and then cut her out with the Nestability. I pop-dotted the sentiment and added some buttons that coordinated with the background paper.
Enjoy .... more tomorrow!
thankful to you
I am very thankful for all of my customers and blog followers ... I have had a lot of great comments to all of my sneak peeks over the last weeks. It has been very fun creating for you and hearing how much you LOVE the new TAC sets and how you have started your wish lists. Trust me my wish list is going to be long too!!!
This card was made with the Happily Grateful set. I stamped the vine/branches with landscape Palette ink and then added the flowers with claret Palette ink. I lightly sponged landscape all over the background. I stamped the sentiment with the leaves and then die cut it out with the nestability. Before removing the Nestability I sponged that with landscape .. leaving a nice white border. I matted it on bright pink that I toned down a bit with black inked edges. Added the ribbon and black gems and viola! I love the colors, vibrancy, and simplicity of this card.
We are in the final countdown until the TAC annual Seminar and the unveiling of the new catty ... LESS than 2 WEEKS!!! I can not wait!
Enjoy ... more tomorrow!
Oh yes I did!!!
I took the new Oh No She Didn't set and added even MORE attitude!!! I stamped her and colored her with copics. Then ... to give her more attitude I stamped her crossed arms again and pop-dotted them on the main image! I pop-dotted the sentiments and added some gems. I used Uptown Girl paper with black cardstock. I then put Crystal Lacquer on her glasses!
Enjoy ... bust out your ATTITUDE today!!!
More tomorrow.....
Delightful!
Today you are in for a treat! A few of my close blog friends and I decided to a mini blog hop with the new set Oh No She Didn't ... isn't that a GREAT name!
This card was stamped with black ink and colored with copics. I colored all of the rain drops with copics to turn them blue as well. I added ribbon and the sentiment from Wonder and Joy. I absolutely love her and her little frog!
Here is the whole set ... it will retail for $15.95 in the new catty! A must have!
For more fun with this set please visit my other friend's blogs ... we each did one image!
Enjoy ... More tomorrow!
love and cherish
I really loved this new set Fly Fairy when I first saw it. I stamped it with Rich Cocoa Brown Memento ink and then used chalks to color it. I used You Are for the sentiment to go along with this image. I sponged the edges of the image and sentiment. I added patterned paper and sponged the edges of that as well. I added ribbon and flowers and brads. I pop-dotted the sentiment up to add some dimension as well.
Enjoy! More tomorrow ... including a special blog hop with some of my blogger friends!!!
Holly
This wonderful background stamp is in the new set Jingle Jolly. I used it as my main image instead of a background. I colored it with my copics and then accented parts of it with gold stickles. I mounted the whole thing on fun foam to give it some dimension. I added a gold ribbon and a sentiment from TAC's Thinking of You set. I matted the whole thing on red cardstock and viola!
Sugar Coating
Here once again is the Sugar Coated Sweetness set. I stamped these little candies and then cut them out and pop-dotted them. I then added a coat of Crystal Lacquer to them to make them fun and glossy (see close-up). I stamped the sentiment from this set in the Fabulous Frame set and mounted it on another Nestability. I added some ribbon and gems and matted the card accordingly.
Enjoy! More tomorrow!
Whale Hello
This whale is from the Oh Happy Day collection. I just love him. I think this might be my first ever "whale" stamp that I've owned! There are so many fun "whale" sentiments with this set!!!
I colored him with copics and then cut him out. I pop-dotted him and colored his water stream with a stardust gelly pen. I added patterned paper, a ribbon, the gems, and a sentiment. Viola!
Enjoy! More tomorrow!
Sweet Friend
This is the new TAC set called Sugar Coated Sweetness. I love all of the sweet little foods in this set ... more in the next couple of days.
I colored the ice cream cone with copics. I mounted it on a scalloped rectangle and then popped the upper sentiment. I added a little bling and viola!
Enjoy! More tomorrow!
Jolly Santa
I love this santa from the NEW Jingle Jolly set. I colored him with copics and cut him out. I popped him up on this card. I made this card using a sketch from the Go To Sketches Special Edition from Papercrafts. I love this magazine ... it's a great way for me to mix up my layouts and think outside of the box. I used a Nestability and patterned paper and then added ribbon and gems.
ENJOY! More Tomorrow!
Doughnuts!!!
I love the NEW set from TAC called Sugar Coated Sweetness! Oh how "sweet" it is!
I totally had to ink these little doughnuts up!!! They are so cute and yummy! I made them chocolate doughnuts and added fun Crystal Lacquer to the cherry filling on top. I used Nestabilities to make some cute frames and popped it up on the card and then popped the doughnuts off of those! I added the sentiment from the Little Cupcake set and added a ribbon.
ENJOY! More Tomorrow!
Cute Snowman!
It's been pretty HOT recently here in Illinois ... wouldn't it be great to make a snowman ... Although I LOVE snowmen I dislike snow!! LOL!!!
So to get my fix now, what a better way than to use a snowman stamp to make a card!!!
One thing TAC has been missing is some great snowman stamps ... well no longer! Check out this wonderful snowman!!! I absolutely LOVE him. He comes in a set called Jingle Jolly with a reindeer, a santa, and a holly background (more about these in a few days).
I colored him with copics and added some patterned paper. I punched him out with circle punches. I added the sentiment and a few gems that I also colored with my copics.
ENJOY! More Tomorrow!
Guess What!!!!
whoo loves you BABY!!!

The new TAC 2010 - 2011 catty will be unveiled on 6/25 in Wichita, Kansas at the annual TAC Seminar. I am lucky enough to be going and I know it is going to be a great event full of fun, friends, and suprises!!!
This card is made with the new set called Oh Happy Day .... it comes with some cute characters and even cuter sayings to go along with the fun guys! I colored him with copics and then popped him up with fun foam. I added scrapper's floss for a rustic look and added a little bling.
