Tickled Pink
Winged!
This stamp is from a new set called Jeans & Wings. I colored her with my Copics and then sponged the background blue to resemble the sky. I used paper from the Uptown Girl Collection and used a pink mat cut with my Nestabilities. I added a few black gems to the top corners.
Seasonal Snow Globes
As soon as I saw the Seasonal Snow Globe Set (a Level C TAC Hostess set), I have wanted to add a glassy effect to it.
So for this card, I colored the Christmas scene with my Copics and then added Wonder Tape to the front of the image. Then I added Clear Glass Beads. It does look like a snow globe with these effects! (sorry ... the picture doesn't capture this)
It's Here!
WOW ... TAC said that we would have our Fall Supplement by 9/1 ... I was so pleased to get it a week and a half early!!!!
There are soooo many new sets (42 total) and my wish list is growing every time I go back and look at it!
Contact me if you'd like to get your own copy!
More Elephant Baby Cards
Mama and Baby elephants
The lady at work wanted more "baby" cards with elephants (this time brown ones to match her nursery colors).
I didn't know what to do because I didn't have any more elephant stamps. So I broke out my Cricut and my Animal Kingdom cartridge!
I cut a 3 1/2" elephant and a 2" elephant. I added some chalk to them to make all of the details pop and then hole punched their eyes and backed them with white and made black dots for eyes. Sentiment is from TAC. Added patterned paper (pink) that looks like grass. Also added more sheer pink ribbon around the top.
I'm sure she will love these too! I sure do and love to match up die cuts and stamps!
Elephant Pull Cart
After I signed up to make all of these baby thank yous for a lady at work ... I realized that I don't have many baby stamps.
This stamp is from Everyday Events. I colored it with my copics and added a little bling with the gems on the wheels. I used my ScorPal to add some embossed lines to the card and the "thank you" sentiment is from Ordinary Greetings.
I like how simple and plain this card is ... with a little bling and just a splash of color. I like the addition of the sheer pink ribbon too.
*** Post note ... the lady from work loved these ... I had no idea but she decorated the baby's nursery in elephants!!! What a coincidence! ***
Latte!!
I made a few of these for a lady at work ... they are perfect for her as she is a Starbucks fanatic! I paper pieced the cup to give it some dimension and then colored the hands and shoes with my copics. This stamp is made by Inky Antics and I absolutely adore it! Added a ribbon across the bottom and mounted it on a scalloped oval Nestability.
These are so sweet ... I know she will love them.
You Bug Me!
Dragonfly ATC
I signed up for a swap over on the Stamp Shack entitled "You Bug Me". As most of you might know my favorite bug is the dragonfly. I commonly am picking up dragonfly stamps when I see them.
This dragonfly stamp is from Garden Joy in TAC's Serendipity. It's gotta be the smallest stamp in the set but it was the biggest draw to that set for me!
I randomly stamped the dragonfly all over the white cardstock and then colored the wings with a clear Stardust Glitter pen. It shimmers tremendously in real life.
I colored the dragonfly word with my copics and then mounted the entire thing on black cardstock. Love it ... as this ATC screams me! Not a lot to it, but simple and sweet.
Cute as a Button
I am making a bunch of "baby" thank yous for a lady at work that is due in about 1 month.
This card uses the Special Delivery set from the Spring Magalogue. I just love this whimsy baby set. The other thing that I like doing with baby cards is using buttons ... not sure what it is but buttons are terrific on baby cards. They are "cute as a button". I colored this image with my Copics and then used my circle and scallop circle punches to punch them out.
I was in Michael's the other day with a 50% off coupon not really needing anything but just looking around ... then I spotted the new Martha Stewart Around the Page Punches! OMG! These are awesome!
These will definitely add a little interest to your cards and/or scrapbook pages.
There are 4 designs : Loopy Loops, Spider Web, Leaves, and Snowflakes.
I bought the Spider Web and then went back today with my 40% off coupon and bought the Loopy Loops .... I love them both!!!
I am a little anal when it comes to punching things just right. With that, I made myself a cheat sheet on the sizes in which you can punch. Mine are all sized for cards but you can punch up to a 12" x 12" piece of paper.
Here are my cheat sheets ... feel free to print and use if you wind up getting these ... I did the all of the math for you!
Spider Web
Loopy Loops
Here is a YouTube video on how to use these punches: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7p1p5yV2NpI
Now that I have made these cheat sheets I'm anxious to do a project with them!!! Stay Tuned .............
Every year I create one stamping/scrapbooking goal for myself. This year it was to: submit items for publication and get published.
I am happy to say that as of 7/31 .... I MADE MY GOAL! I MADE MY GOAL! I MADE MY GOAL!
(Can you just see me jumping up and down right now and doing the happy dance???)
Not only did I make my goal .... I exceeded my goal!
Months ago I submitted 3 cards to Stamp & Scrap Arts Magazine for their Halloween call in hopes that 1 card would make it in. I received my complimentary copy on Friday and ALL 3 made it in!!!
This is the cover of the issue that I am in!
