Happy Earth Day
I made these cute little bags based on the projects that I did at Madison Mingle with a bunch of TAC friends. This one I created myself. I love TAC's Happy Bug Day Set. I wish that they would bring that one back.
These were made by cutting the bottom of a paper lunch bag at 4" and then adding 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" carstock to the sides. You can decorate how ever you want. I made the handle using the SU window punch (it's perfect).
You could use these as little gift bags or to hold a set of cards!
For my ATC group we were given several sheets of printed tissue paper and then we were to use it to create 4 ATCs (at least 25% of the ATC had to contain the tissue paper). My creative juices started flowing and I created 6. I really liked how they turned out. Now to pick which 4 I am going to swap!!
Coloring with Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits
My friend Kim Hutchinson and I had a day out up in Madison, WI. We hit our favorite new store, Gina K Designs. Gina herself had told us that she wouldn't be working that day. Kim and I were so excited to see her ... (one of her employees schedules got mixed up and Gina had to work) ... bummer for Gina ... but yea for us!
Gina's store is wonderful and Kim and I were drooling over the samples and all of the different items in the store.
Just Bee-Cause
This cute stamp set was purchases at Gina K's Store ... it is called Gettin' Buggy with It. The bee is paper pieced in yellow and white. I punched the scallop circle out with my marvy punch and stamped it with another set. I had bought this Scalloped Frame and Doodle set a while back. The string/ribbon is actually velvet that Kim and I found at another art store.
Thanks Kim for another wonderful day out on the town!
Today is my husband and my 14th wedding anniversay! We were married on 4-9-94. Here is the card I made for him today.
I am sure he is going to say that it's girly and not very masculine ... I try my best at masculine, but it seems everytime I try, it still turns out a little girly.
Used stamps from Danelle Johnson's Love set and the "You" from a TAC retired set called You Words. I punched a hole in the card and the "you" is actually inside the card.
- They can have themes
- They are small
- They are quick and fast to make (well most of them)
- They fit nicely in baseball card trading sleeves (9 up)
- They are fun to trade/swap with others
So here are a few of my latest ones:
Cute as a Bug
Used the word from a retired TAC set called Ribbon words. This bug is a new stamp that I is made by the Stamp Barn in Ontario Canada. I fell in love with this little guy and the others in his set. Used a Scalloped Punch by Marvy and tied a black and white grosgrain ribbon on it.
Be Brilliant
This was an ATC where we had to use alcohol inks with a dragonfly stamp. I used Stream and Lettuce by Adirondack and then finished it with this favorite dragonfly stamp of mine. I have a little dragonfly fettish too ... I just love them ... stamps, embellishments, anything dragonfly! I matted this with silver and black and then rounded two of the opposite corners with a corner rounder.
November
For this ATC there are 12 participants. Each of us got assigned a month and had to make 12. I used the TAC set Date Disks (worked perfectly) and then used the turkey from the TAC For All Seasons set. I colored the turkey with Prisma alcohol markers and then added a cram grosgrain ribbon. I just love the way that this turned out and can't wait to see the other months that the ladies did!
Sweetness
I used the watermelon from a retired TAC set called Go Places with TAC's Simple Bet to spell out "sweetness". I used my prisma alcohol markers on this ATC as well and I just think the colors are so vibrant and seem to pop!
Don't you just love ATCs!!!

Card stamped with Cognac Brown ink. I paper pieced the dog’s head with pop-dot and added words and paw prints. I then added a grosgrain ribbon. This card was for a co-worker of mine who lost her dog this month. The set is perfect for all occasions.
