I needed to make a nice sympathy card for some friends of ours.

A mom gone too soon ... had son Chase's age and one 2 years younger.

Great family and we spent lots of summers together with baseball.

She beat cancer a few months back and then it roared back in again.

Cancer just sucks!!!

I hope that they enjoy this card ...

wanted something cheery!!!!

It actually started out blue ...

Dipped it in Liquid Color and Silk on a Gel Press.

Here 's the close up .....

After I added all of the color then I heat set.

It got stiffer and curled up.

I absolutely LOVE this!!!

I made this card a while ago as a sympathy 

for some funerals that I needed to attend.

I love the simpleness and elegance to it.

Uses our Circle dies very nicely as well as Bloom Cluster die

I love the leaves and the swirls in the Happy Hello stamp set.

It's a great new set from A Muse Studio this month.

I needed a sympathy card and whipped this up with the butterfly.

I love the look of these leaves both open and solid.

and the swirls are AWESOME!!!

Unfortunately I've had to use/make a lot of sympathy cards lately.

Here is one that I did with the fun Cherry Blossom sequins.

Hopefully it brings a small smile to the recipient!

Here is a card that I recently made for my friend Rosa's family.

Rosa passed away just over a week ago in a horrible car crash over the Labor Day weekend.

Rosa loved life!  Rosa lived her life to the fullest EVERY day!

Rosa was always smiling and made me laugh.

Rosa loved pink.

Three days before she died she tagged me to a butterfly card on Facebook 

and asked if we could make that card.

Well I didn't have those stamps ... but sure ... we could make a butterfly card Rosa.

Sadly ... before we could do that ... she passed.

But I made this card with pink butterflies for her family ... in honor of her.

I loved this sentiment from Charming Gardeners (now retired) as that fit her perfectly.

"Let us be grateful to those that make us happy, they are the charming gardeners to our soul"

Rosa was and always will be my Charming Gardener.

Here is another take on that card using current stamps and Mermaid butterflies.

At Rosa's funeral we had a fabulous balloon launch of balloons ... 100s of them

with lots of people there to honor her.
