EEEW ... Bugs!

This card was made for the distressing challenge. I used Feelin' Buggy and a retired TAC set for the sentiment.

I tore the edges of my main image and i sponged ink on all of the pieces. I also ran the black strip through the corrugator.

ENJOY!

For the Pot of Cold Challenge I needed to use the following elements:

Easter Suprise!!

Here is a shout out to my new stamping buddies Marissa and Sandy!
I got together with them last weekend as part of "TAC Team Time" and we stamped the day (and night) away!
I made this card front with them ... they too will be suprised at the inside as I finished that the next day.

Front

From the outside it just looks like a cute card. I used the easter parts of Hedgehog Happiness and added strips of ribbon at the bottom. I colored the scene with my copics. The sentiment is from Thinking of You.

Then you open the card .....

Viola ..........

Here is the inside of the card. It's a pop-up with the same elements from Hedgehog Happiness and the bunny is from the Easter Bunny set.

I sponged the sky with Reflection Blue Palette and sponged the grass with Landscape Palette. The inner sentiments are from Hoppity Skippity. I again colored the images with my copics.

Here is a side view of the inner workings of the card.

Stamp Club - March

Sunflowers (and Green)

This is this month's projects that we will be making at Stamp Club. It uses the Sunshine set and they are colored with copics. There is a lot of dimension in both projects with the use of fun foam. They also both use the free downloadable paper from TAC called Robyn. The item on the right is a post-it note holder and it has a matching card. I just love this set!

ENJOY!

Green Thank Yous

March Thank Yous

I needed some thank yous for recent orders that I've had and I decided to make "green" cards. I used the 4 leaf clovers from Cheers to You and colored them with copics. I added some copic grass and a little touch of glossy accents to the middle of each one.

The sentiment is from a retired TAC set and the entire card is matted on green cardstock.

Awesome Use of Old Jeans

Dude ... you are Awsome!

Today over on the TAC Savvy blog, my downline Kerry (who is awesome!) is being featured for her "green" projects.

In keeping with the theme, I created this card and used pieces of old jeans that I cut up and used for this card.

I used Boyz & Girlz and I stamped the boy on my jeans and paper-pieced his overalls. I then used circles cut out with my die cut machine and a strip of the jeans. I colored the boy with my copics and pop-dotted the main panel. I used Dude You are Awesome for the sentiment (I think it's retired).

ENJOY!

Be sure to check out some of these other wonderful GREEN projects!

Today Starts Going Green Week at TAC

What says "green" more than Starbucks???
Could it be using Starbucks to make a "green" card!

I love going to Starbucks with my BFF Kim. She always wants to keep my corrugated sleeve on my coffee ... because she is very green and reuses them in some way.
So this past weekend I kept my corrugated sleeve and the swizzle stick .....

Latte Wishes

For this card I cut the Starbucks girl out using my nestabilities. Then I mounted her on a white circle and then on a green scalloped circle (pop-dotted).

I used the Skinny Birds set for the coffee mug and colored it with my copics. I used the sentiments from Sending a Latte. I sponged the edges with coffee (just kidding - I used Cognac Palette ink).

I could have just stopped there .... but NO!!!! I have GOT to incorporate that swizzle stick!

Creamed!

I adhered the swizzle stick to the inside of the card with glossy accents and then drew a big blob of cream with a few droplets!

I colored the edges of the cream with my C1 copic marker and then ... used my GLOSSY ACCENTS! Have I told you how much I LOVE this STUFF!!!

OMG ... it truly looks like there is cream on my card!!!

And the sentiment from Coffee Talk is just PERFECT!!!

ENJOY!!! (and go pick up some Starbucks)!

Please view these other wonderful "green" creations and feel free to play along with either your "green" card or your green (the color) card!

Crayon Resist

Using a White Crayola!

For this card I decided to try the crayon resist technique with this wonderful flower from Blossoms & Blessings that I love! I was viewing this video which explains this technique wonderfully and the I tried it out. I love the results! I added glossy accents to the centers of the flowers. The sentiment is from Good Things and I added some black gems at the bottom.

ENJOY!

Tune in Tuesday - Flowers

It's all in the details!

Today Holly Mays is featured on the TAC Savvy blog for flowers. This month all sets that contain a 4-legged page and a flower are 25% off. More details HERE.

For this card I used Blossoms & Blessings and colored them with my copics. I then cut them out and added glossy accents to the centers. I then stamped the vines from Happily Grateful in green and cut those out. (very tedious .. but oh so worth it in the end). I pop-dotted the flowers and left the vines loose weaving them into the flowers. I used a nestability in the background and used a retired sentiment. I wrapped a ribbon around and tied a bow. I added bling and colored with my copics. I sponged Cognac Brown Palette ink around the edges.

Here is a close up from the side of the flowers/vines.

ENJOY!

Please visit the others below who are also show-casing their "flower" creations.

Good Luck!

Thanks and Good Luck!

One of my friends/co-workers that has worked with me on the same program for the past 2 years is moving on to a different job within the company. It's a great move for her ... although I will miss her! We had a lot of fun (if you can call work fun) with all of our ups and downs!

I made this cheery card for her using the Cheers to You set (used this a lot this week). I used the clouds from Oh the Places. I sponged the sky and created grass with my copics. I colored all of the shamrocks with copics and then added just a dot of glossy accents to the middle of each one for a cute little effect.

Here is an up-close of the shamrocks with the glossy accents.

ENJOY!

And continue to check out all of the great creations from the TAC Shamrock Blog Hop this weekend!

Seeing Shamrocks

Lucky Horseshoe

Today is the start of the TAC Blog Hop!

For this card I used Cheers to You. I colored the image with my copics. I then added Glossy Accents to the horseshoe. I stamped the sentiment and added another shamrock and added Glossy Accents to that one too.

Here is a close up of the "glossy" horseshoe.

The background paper is called Robyn and you can download it HERE for FREE! Added a ribbon and Viola!

ENJOY!

Cheers!

Green Beer ...
one of my favorite memories from college!

Every year we would go to Dooley's at Michigan State for Green Beer Night on Saint Patty's Day.
So when I saw this stamp set called Cheers to You ... I knew I had to have it and make it a green beer!

Here is a close-up.

I colored it with copics and then added Glossy Accents to make the mug look like glass and Liquid Applique to add suds to the card. I puffed the liquid applique with my heat gun ... I love these effects.

I also used Background Soup for the dots ... clean, simple, and fun!

ENJOY! ... and be sure to check back tomorrow for the TAC Blog Hop! You too can participate .. pull out your favorite TAC stamps and make a St. Patty's / Green card!

Animals

"Mice" Day

Today over at the TAC Savvy blog, Rita Kegg has some great samples of cards using animals.

One of our promos this month is 25% off ALL stamp sets that have a flower and an animal in it!!! WOW! See all of the sets on sale HERE!

This card uses Mice Day and I pop-dotted the mouse on the spool. I colored it with my copics and I added some of the Robyn paper.

This is for a very special co-worker friend of mine who has a birthday this week .... she and I have had some rough times at work lately and I thought this would make her smile (at least it does make me smile!!!)
