Scrapbook Class

I recently taught a "baby scrapbook" class in my home. We had a lot of fun and everyone's book turned out so GREAT! I gave them access to my Cricut, punches, and some basic embellishments. I also had a few stamp sets specific for "babies" for them to use. They all brought their pictures and put their own little personal touch to their creations. I had pink ones for the girls and blue ones for the boys.

My "sample" album was made for my brother and his wife for their daughter Emma.

I used a retired album from TAC for everyone's base book. It was a nice 6 x 6 size and had 20 pages to fill up! For the Cover we used Cricut letters and a Bazzill Ribbon.

For the "mom" I used one of last year's GWPs and also used the mom with the baby from Special Delivery and colored her with Copics. All ink used in the girl albums was Palette Claret or Black Memento. (boys used Beaux Arts Blue). All of the main paper was this pink and white polka dot - easily cut 5 sheets of 12 x 12 down to make the entire book!

Used circle and scalloped circle punches as well as Fiskar's Threading Water punch. The journal circle was from Just a Note and "Little Princess" is from Special Delivery. Added a gem to the dot on the "i"

More punched circles and scallops. Used the Just numbers set that is now retired for the "1 year old" and added more bling. Used Spunky Sprite Girls and colored her with Copics and paper pieced. I cut her out and left off her jump rope. Thought it went perfectly with this picture.

Happy Thanksgiving

Recently I participated in a calendar swap with some other TAC demonstrators. I love this swap every year and hand the calendar right in my craft room. I signed up for November and April this year. These were my creations:

November

I used Swirly Gigs for the background and stamped it with Java VersaMagic ink. I used Swirly Bet for "November" and the turkey is from For All Seasons. I colored him with my Copics.

April

For this one I used Pattern Bet (paper pieced) and No Bunny Like You. I colored the bunnies with my Copics.

I can't believe how fast 2010 is approaching!!!

Gift Card Holders

Cream!!!

Used the new Hostess Level A set mug for this gift card holder (perfect for Starbucks gift cards!!!) I colored it with my copics! I also added some texture by using by scorebugfor the bumps/dashes. The sentiment is from the Coffee Talk set.

Merry Christmas

Used the Joy of Christmas set for the tree and words. Used Swirly Gigs for the edge decor. Added ribbon and a little red stickles and viola!!!

I guess I didn't take pictures of the insides of these, but there is a slit in the inside to slide a gift card into. I found the picture below on another blog to show what it looked like.

Enjoy ... Make a few for those Holiday Gift Cards ... really easy gifts!!!

What have I been up To????

A lot of you have been asking me what I have been up to since I haven't been posting much ... trust me ... A LOT!!!
Besides working my full time job I have taken on some side projects of making invites and announcements for my friends!

Roundin' Up Seth
Made this cute invite with my cricut for the horse coloring him with copics and chalk. I used tan scrapper's floss for the "lasso" and die cut the "2" on my Big Shot. Needless to say the mother of this little guy LOVED these! ... and so did I!!

Sweet Sweet Baby

I made 4-5 samples for my friend to pick from for this announcement. She picked and choosed and mixed and matched her favorite elements to come up with this announcement. The vellum overlay with the pink and brown colors turned out great! Mom also was very very happy with these.

Also hosted a scrapbook class at my house .... with 13 participants!!! It was great! Wait till you see those pics!

Never in my wildest dreams would I ever have pictured myself as a "cover girl" .... but now .... I OFFICIALLY AM!!!!

I submitted 3 "humorous" cards to Scrap & Stamp Arts magazine. Those 3 that I submitted ALL made it on the COVER!!!!

I almost fainted when I opened the envelope I saw the first one ... and I screamed ... saw the second and I screamed louder ... saw the third and I could not catch my breath ... seriously!!!! .... I was soooo excited!!!!

All of the above are mine except the one on the top right!
The top left one uses stamps by Gina K ... love her stuff and her cute store! The bottom left uses stamps by TAC - the Funny Farm and Funny Farm Phrases sets. The bottom right uses stamps by Inkadinkado.

Thanks for letting me share my excitement with you!!!!
