A Little Birdy Told Me

Early Bird

I made this scene using the TAC Early Bird set. Did you know that this set was going to only be released for a limited time in January and now ... it is available at the regular price.

I stamped the tree trunk and then masked it. Then I stamped the top of the tree with green. I colored in the tree with my pencils and OMS. I stamped the bird on yellow paper and paper pieced him. The sky and grass were then sponged in and the sentiment stamped in black. Black and white polka dot ribbon added and viola!

I made this for a friend of mine's mom who is starting a difficult journey .. quitting smoking ... a little birdy told me that :) ... I hope it keeps her motivated to keep going.

What a fun card! How sweet of you to seen this to your mom's friend! You did an awesome job masking the tree!

This was one of those sets that just left me questioning - what do I do with it - well now I am headed to my craft room to cut that set out and play. What an inspiration this card will be to someone giving up an "addiction". I quit 7 years ago and never looked back. Love the layout and colors.
